Questions from law firms

Frequently asked questions

How do I get no-win-no-fee clients through JuriMatch?

Create an account with your work email, claim your firm's listing (or create one) and set the case types, countries and minimum claim value you accept. When a claimant's case fits those settings, you receive an anonymised, pre-scored brief in the lawyer portal. If you accept, the claimant's contact details unlock and you agree terms directly with them.

How do I claim my firm's listing?

Search for your firm on the join page and claim it. Claims are approved instantly when your email domain matches the firm's website; otherwise our team reviews the request. If your firm is not listed, you can create a new profile instead.

How does verification work?

We check that your website and contact details match the listing, that you offer no-win-no-fee, contingency, conditional-fee or funded work for the case types you list, and, where you provide one, your regulator registration. Verified firms are re-checked at least once a year. Verification status cannot be bought.

What does it cost?

Nothing for founding firms: no listing fee, no referral fee and no share of your fees. Claimants pay JuriMatch for matching; you agree your own fees with the client. Any fee a firm pays JuriMatch would be set out in writing before it applies.

Is this compatible with professional rules on referral fees?

JuriMatch does not take referral fees or share fees with firms, so it works like a directory and case-routing service. No money passes between JuriMatch and your firm for an introduction, and the claimant chooses which firm to instruct. JuriMatch will not accept any payment that the professional rules applying to you prohibit. You remain responsible for checking your own rules.

Who is responsible for advice, conflict checks and the fee agreement?

You are. JuriMatch is not a law firm and does not give legal advice. Whether to accept a case, conflict checks, client identification, engagement letters and fee agreements are your responsibility, and the lawyer-client or funding relationship is formed directly between you and the claimant.

What do I see before accepting a case?

An anonymised brief: claim type, estimated value, jurisdictions, evidence flags and a 0 to 100 case score. The counterparty's type and country are shown, but not its name. You can ask questions through JuriMatch before accepting. The claimant's contact details unlock only when you accept.

How does matching work?

A case is routed to you when it fits your preferences: the claimant's or the defendant's country is one of your jurisdictions, the claim type is one you accept, and the amount is at or above your minimum. Leaving a filter empty accepts everything in that dimension. A case can be sent to a small number of matching firms so the claimant has a real choice; each firm sees the same anonymised brief and the claimant decides who to work with.

How is the case score worked out?

Claimants complete a structured questionnaire and can upload documents. We score each case from 0 to 100 across documentation, jurisdiction, recoverability, economics and complexity, and add an evidence checklist and deadline flags. The score is a triage aid, not legal advice: you make your own assessment.

Can I decline a case?

Yes, any case, at any time before you accept it. A reason is optional and there are no quotas or penalties.

How do I pause new cases?

In the lawyer portal, open Preferences and turn off "Accepting new cases". Routing stops until you turn it back on, and cases you already have stay in your inbox. You can also change your case types, countries and minimum claim value there at any time.

Can I remove my listing?

Yes. You can stop using JuriMatch and ask us to remove your listing at any time through the firm listing request page or by email to our legal team.

How is claimant data protected?

Briefs are anonymised and contact details are released only to a firm that accepts. You must not try to identify a claimant from a brief, and you may use claimant information only to assess and act on that claimant's matter: no marketing, resale, profiling or sharing. For data you receive you act as an independent controller and must follow applicable data-protection law, including GDPR where it applies, and your confidentiality duties.
