Who pays if I lose a case in Poland?

The loser normally reimburses the winner's necessary costs under article 98 of the Code of Civil Procedure, with the lawyer's fee usually set by reference to statutory rates rather than the fee actually paid. So even a winner often bears part of its own lawyer's fees, and a loser rarely pays the full amount.
